Dermatologist Acne Treatment

Are there any procedures that can be done for my acne scarred skin. Most of my scars are on my cheeks and it is just really horrible looking. I am so young, I’m only 18 and my skin is ruined with these marks. Can anyone tell me of some treatments that can be done for my skin and how much it will cost and where to get it done. I would even go to a plastic surgeon if there is a way for them to get rid of my scars. I would like whatever they do to be permanent! Please let me know the best thing to have done!
I’ve got mild Acne but it got redness so should I go to a Dermatologist for the best acne treatment? I know Dermatologist knows the BEST .. just answer YES OR NO !!
If so, are they the ones who give you the pelvic exam/pap smear? Aren’t those 2 exams required before you get bc?
Something like microdermabrasion. I am not sure. I was just wondering if there was anything a dermatologist can do other than precribe acne medicine.
Thanks,
Angelina

I went to the Dermotologist last year, and they prescribed my Retin-A and Minicycline Pills. They kept having me come back and I had to set for over 2 hours each time and never even got to see the actual dermotologist, just a nurse.
The pills didn’t clear the acne on my chest and worked pretty good on my face, but I still got breakouts so I asked her if there was something else I could take. She said the only other option was Acutane, and if you take that you must go every month for a blood test because it can damage your liver and a pregnancy test because it can harm fetuses. Needless to say I didn’t go with that.
Is that really all I can try? Should I go and demand to see the real doctor? I need advice.
I don’t have bad acne, but I breakout like every other week. When I break out, I get one to three big pimples in the same area, and there is nothing I can do to make them go away. They last about three or four days. I know a lot of people have acne worse than I do, but I am sick of dealing with pimples. I am in my twenties; I shouldn’t have acne anymore. I wash my face twice a day and treat pimples with spot treatment, but I still break out. My acne used to be worse when I was a teen, so I used to use comprehensive acne systems like proactive. They did clear up my face to some degree, but they made my face really dry, like to the point of pealing. If I see a dermatologist, o you think they would give me an oral medication, or at least a mild but very effective skin medication? Oh, I also constantly have a number of small pimples on my face, but they aren’t that bothersome.
